Are you strong enough to be my drink

Heath and I tried out Princess Garden Chinese by our house for dinner.

We did not order drinks but wished we would have after realizing they cater to people who enjoy drinking. Next time I will have a tough time choosing between the Mai Tai and the Zombie.

So shortly after work Heath and I headed to Christ the King to meet with Fr. Dave and talk wedding. He verified our names and made sure our address was the same and made sure our phones were the same and made sure our date was the same. He told us that someone would call us about some weekend religious retreat and someone else would call us about planning how things go down during the mass. Then he and Heath talked about past military experience and then we were done and heading for some dinner.

Dinner was pretty good but more then I like to spend on a meal for 2 w/ no drinks. We got some dinner for two with a shrimp platter a beef platter and steamed rice. After dinner we got on grubby clothes and grabbed some beer, seeds and shovels and started gardening.

We planted a row on onions first then Stephen, Stooks Kevin, Kaylee and Hope all came over and played for a bit.

Then they headed to Stephens and we planted carrots, spinach, more onions, watermelons and broccoli.

We still need to get potatoes to plant and it was too early to plant our corn, pumpkins and some other things. Ohh and we need to transplant our tomatoes and peppers in a few weeks. Berry was pretty relaxed watching us garden after running with and trying to hump Stephens dogs for a while. He watched us but was good about avoiding my rows and seemed to have no interest in tearing up our garden yet.

FLASH FORWARD

(spooky music ends abruptly)

It is now this morning and I go out to run Berry and play fetch for a while to find…

NOOOOO All my row keeping strings are broke. It does not look like he did any digging though. I’m worried though.

FLASH BACK

After gardening we cleaned up our stuff then went inside and excitedly pulled the tape off the mirrors and found it to look good but dirty. There were fingerprints all over and spots where glue had gotten on the glass or we had not scraped the paint off well enough so Heath got out the windex and I got out a razor blade and we cleaned.

Once it was all cleaned up we stood back and it looked good. We expirimented with what you could see from different seats and it was cool to sit on the couch and see someone coming down the hall.

After we were satisfied with the mirrors we joined the pool players at Stephen’s and had a few beers and broke up the game to talk about farts and highschool and whatever. Heath and I headed home at bedtime.

This morning I found my messed up garden and was grumpy with Berry but he was really good on the run even though I was dragging and he really had me laughing when we played Frisbee.

He had a terrible time getting it off the ground once it stopped rolling and then it looked like the lip on it bothered him and he was jumping and tossing his head back to keep it in his mouth. After a while I gave him a break and got out the soccer ball. He loves to chase it down the hill in our yard and then bring it back to the top.
