Back into the swing of things

We are back home after our great trip.

First I need to apologize for delaying the news on my thumb but I’ve had a busy week and didn’t want to mix vacation posts with thumb posts. Here is my thumb now.

The first couple days in Seattle it was on then one night the nail came off. I was really glad it did. For the last few days it was just held on by a little piece on each side and I would constantly catch the nail on things.

Well we got back to KC around 11pm Tuesday night and it was a late night for everyone especially Peanut. Peanut and I took Wednesday off and we took full advantage of this day. He slept in until noon and I got up and mowed the lawn and checked on the garden. Peanut was still sleeping so I pulled Grandma out and started working on her. I got it started, I got the choke fixed, I tested the horn and all the lights and the only problems I found were no radio and bad trailer lights. Kevin, Stephen and Stooks all came by and Peanut got up so we headed to the deck and grilled some burgers and fries.

Yesterday was a great day to be home on the deck relaxing in the sun and not at work. We took advantage of this and hung out for quite a while.

Then Peanut and I got the ridding mower fired up and drove it up front then I worked on it and he drove his tractor around. I made some improvements to the steering and got the deck level again. One blade is a bit bent and the whole thing cuts the grass lower then I would like though so I switched off working on the boat trailer lights and the mower deck.

Heath got home and Peanut and her had a snack then we went to Aldi. We were very low on groceries and filled a cart at Aldi. Then we went home unpacked and ate dinner. After dinner Peanut took a shower, Heath cleaned and I ran to Wal-mart and Ace for boat repairing supplies, mower repairing supplies and some food.

Then Stephen and I worked on the boat trailer lights and got them semi working. I headed in and helped heath with wedding invitation stuff before bed.
