48 Hours in and Everyone is Doing Great

A doctor was just in the room talking about us leaving the hospital today. We all got quite a bit of much needed sleep last night. I know today we still need to test out the car seat and carry the piles of stuff to the van but otherwise I think we just rest till they tell us to go home.

Pumpkin has been getting noticeably stronger over the last 48hours. She grips my finger tighter now. She stretches out harder and twists her neck to look. Also she can cry harder and louder. She still does not cry a lot yet, usually just enough to let us know that she wants to go back to the boob. We have had lots of visitors over the last 2 days and it has been a nice stay in the hospital. We order room service and take naps and play on the computer and kind of watch tv but mostly just play with the little pumpkin. The nurses and doctors and staff comes to check on Heath and Pumpkin regularly and have come to take her pictures and make sure our stay has been good.

Heath has the next 6 weeks off work and I have the next 2 weeks off then will be working limited hours until the first of the year. After this afternoon we will be home for the most part if anyone wants to come meet our daughter.

She was born Oct. 4th 2009 at 7:28am. 7lbs 14oz and 20 inches long. We just liked the name Isabella and the idea of people calling her Pumpkin or Bell or Bella. Peanut and I prefer Pumpkin and it seems to be growing on Heath. Renee is Heath’s middle name and actually we had a harder time choosing it as there were a number of other good middle names we liked.

I’ve been retelling the stories and facts so much if I have missed any info or you have any questions just ask I check the site a lot and. I’m always adding pics to http://prewitt.smugmug.com/Births/Baby-Issabella-Renee-Prewitt/9847079_4pDSQ#P-1-12
