Last night was my first trip to RC’s for some chicken
I have a feeling it will not be the last
I had some trouble at work at the end of the day yesterday and got stuck an hour late. When I got home Heath was busy packing and I joined in.
Our plane leaves for Denver tomorrow morning at 6:03am and then from there on to Seattle.
It is looking like it may be a wet week but we are really looking forward to going.
Last time it did not rain much so maybe we will get the stereotypical rainy trip this time around. The graphic on the right is the forecast for Seattle. Yikes At least it is not too cold.
I’ll go ahead and warn you that I am not likely to get my post up every morning by 9am like normal.
I do plan to post every day and try to have some good long posts with lots of pictures and stories of adventure.
So far we plan to go:
crabbing
beach
ferry ride
zoo/aquarium
fish
hike
eat
relax
We got all our clothes and stuff into 1 big bag for the three of us to check and our snacks, toys, laptop and camera stuff into some carry on bags.
Once we were close to being packed Heath and I ran a few errands. We went to Ace and turned in a mower blade to be sharpened while we were gone and then headed to Wal-Mart for a fresh bag of dog food. The bag of dog food turned into a bunch of stuff when we passed the clearance isle and found lots of deals.
The store by us in remodleing and seemed to be getting rid of a bunch of stuff.
After Wal-Mart we were hungry and trying to decide where to spend some of our craigslist earnings. We ended up in Martin City at RC’s
They had a sign on the door for some chicken dinner for two for $16 something and we decided to give it a shot. We got salads, biscuits, potatoes, gravy and green beans with our pile of chicken and it probably could have fed 3. Everything was very good.
After dinner we wobbled to the car and headed home. We had a bit more packing and laudry to do and Heath had to do some computer work so I played Lego Star Wars. I got to this scene from the movie and it was pretty sweet.
However the other Jedi’s were not nearly as helpful as I had hoped.
Anyway once Heath was done working we hung out for a bit then headed to bed. Tonight after work we will get the last of our stuff together with Peanut and then mom will come over to babysit so Heath and I can go to the Sprint Center for Niel Young. Heath got some tickets to the Farmers Box so we are going to live it up on free drinks and food but hopefully get home and too bed early for our big day.
