not on the burger but on my arm this morning
It’s just a little scratch but it’s post worthy as it was from a random dog attack this morning on my run. I fought yelled him off and finished my run and reported him to animal control this morning. A big black lab/mutt ran out of a yard barking and bit me.
It was odd.
Anyway the house drywall mud is coming along nicely I think. Since I am not doing the work I don’t really have any stories but I do have some pictures today.
Check out this ceiling.
I think this former disaster is going to turn out looking good. Here is what he was starting with.
So we are still staying out of the work zone and since Heath’s sister is staying with us we have a free babysitter. She wanted to get out of the house after watching Bean downstairs all day, Pumpkin wanted to go back to the park and we wanted some exercise. Everyone won.
We loaded the truck up with supplies.
We took the girls back to the park from yesterday to play.
Then Heath and I went over to the river trail and went for a ride.
We rode around for about an hour and neither of us had ridden on dirt trails much in a long time and it was really fun.
Then we went back to the park and heard about all the fun they had.
My stomach was growling so we headed on to dinner. We had a groupon type deal for Swagger and decided to try out the new location in Martin City and left the park.
The last time I went I got the
Suribachi Burger 1/3 Ib. burger patty grilled then tempura battered and fried, with Asian mustard, Sriracha Chili sauce, pepper jack cheese, wasabi coleslaw.
It was awesome but this time I wanted to try one of the other exciting things on the menu.So I got the
The Dead Texan Two Texas toast grilled cheese sandwiches with a 1/3 lb. burger, 1 egg, 2 slices of bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapenos, and peppercorn mayo in between.
and Heath got the
The Waldo Trucker Home smoked pork shoulder on a bun with our own BBQ sauce, plus fries, pickles & wasabi coleslaw on it.
Jendra also got pulled pork and Pumpkin got mini corn dogs. (baby hotdogs with pancake blankets) I think Pumpkin really liked the fries and the corndogs.
I don’t remember if I have ever seen her clean a plate in a restaurant before. Jendra also cleared hers in no time but Heath
and I had our work cut out for us.
They have 87 beers on tap and another 20 or so in bottles. So Heath and I each got to try some fun stuff. She went with some raspberry stuff and some apple stuff that were both really tasty. I went with a He’brew Hop Manna IPA at 6.8% and then a Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale at 8.5%. They were both really tasty.
Bean went with breast milk and was quite happy with her decision.
After all the plates and glasses were happy (empty) we headed home and got ready for bed. Where we took these smiley pictures.
