The morning of Pumpkin’s party I got up first and got the stove going.
Heath and Peanut got up next and once we had everything ready we snuck into Pumpkin’s room and sang happy birthday and surprised her with breakfast in bed.
We had french toast, fried taters, mandarin oranges, coffee and juice. While eating we watched Dora the Explorer on the iPad and we all were very engaged and participated in the show.
Pumpkin loved it and told us how great it was and thanked us for the surprise it was really cute.
In the afternoon, well really all weekend we got things ready for the party but it all came together in the afternoon during the chiefs game. Pumpkin got her outfit on.
The coloring table, necklace making station and pumpkin decoration station all got ready to go.
And the house and goodies were all set up and decorated.
Then our friends and family showed up and we ate and ate and ate.
We had lots of sides, braut burgers, cotton candy and popcorn. The kids seemed to love it all.
Once we were stuffed we got out the cake and lit the candles.
Everyone sang and Pumpkin was so excited, singing and clapping along.
then she easily blew out the candles and cheered with the rest of us.
We had cookie cake, cupcakes, vanilla and home made pumpkin pie ice cream.
Then Pumpkin opened presents.
and she loved them all
The kids played some more, the adults ate some more and one by one the guests left. Pumpkin tried out a bunch of her toys then got busy cleaning up with her new vacuum.
Peanut had too much sugar and curled up in bed early. Bean was over stimulated and went to sleep early too. Pumpkin was a mess and had new bath toys so spent some time in the tub before falling asleep. Her actual birthday is Thursday so the party goes on.
We did a lot this weekend beside the party so stay tuned for another post.
