Friday I know Bean was the first one up but Pumpkin was up before I could get Bean out of the house and Heath was right behind her. We ate cereal and fruit for breakfast and started out kinda slow. Eventually Peanut Bean and I headed over to the river and started gathering firewood.
The owner had a firepit and said he would love it if we burned off any of the downed branches. In no time we had a nice fire.
And lots of lizards.
We watched the fire and looked for animals in the water.
Heath and Pumpkin finished their showers and joined us.
We built up the fire and went for a walk out on the dock.
Pumpkin ran races.
Peanut practiced awesome jumps.
Then all of a sudden there was a bathroom emergency.
When they got back they had Pawpaw Eddie.
We had to show him the fire and our flips
and the dock
and other tricks
I loaded a bunch of coals from the fire into a bbq grill and carried it over to the yard just outside our cabin and we set up lunch on the tables.
We cooked brauts, shells and cheese and beans then sat down to a great lunch.
After lunch Eddie left, Bean laid down for a nap, Heath took the kids to her aunts house to do a bit of laundry and I packed up the cabin. When they got back I woke up Bean and we all headed down to Coco Beach.
Pumpkin got a little nap in on the way.
At first we went up on the pier and looked around and though about listening to a band or getting some drinks.
Peanut didn’t think we should just leave the kids.
We watched some surfers and decided to walk the shore.
We found some shells then moved along. We stopped in at Ron Jon surf shop and got the kids necklaces and then went to dinner.
We went to a place called Fish Lips where Heath’s dad’s band plays sometimes. They were out of shark so we got seared tuna.
It was really good and fresh and went well with some local brews. After dinner we walked a bit and happened upon a really fun lights display.
And santa was there and one of his talking reindeer.
We had an early morning so headed back to the cabin and got right to bed.
