Friday we were a little bit stressed we had 3 Christmases to get through that weekend and very little done. We started out with a quick dinner of giant loaded baked potatoes.
Lily really liked the cottage cheese.
After dinner Heath headed to the store. We needed some presents and some food. The kids and I cleaned and got things ready then got busy wrapping.
and making tags
Eventually they went to bed and Heath came home. We did more wrapping and getting presents ready for the morning.
In the morning we were the first ones up. Heath and I took our time and showered and made coffee. Peanut got up next and then we waited and waited on the girls. Pumpkin was up at 10:40 and we decided to wake Bean and get started.
I set the camera on the tripod and grabbed the remote and we got busy.
Eventually we had everything open and the first toy we played with was the laundry basket.
Once done I got busy making breakfast and the kids got busy on projects with new presents.
We had waffles and eggs and bacon. It was after lunchtime when we finished. We all played a bit then everyone laid down to watch Despicable Me 2 and I headed outside to cut up some stuff with the chainsaw.
As I worked it started to freezing rain and when I finally came inside it was pretty slick and coming down pretty good. We got our stuff together and I got cleaned up then we headed over to my mom’s house and met up with everyone.
We made early dinner first.
Then we sat around the tree and opened presents.
The storm was still going on so after presents everyone headed home before the roads got bad. Bean headed to bed and the big kids relaxed.
After they went to bed Heath and I watched Expendables 2 and had a few drinks and laughed a bunch.
In the morning we slept in then rushed to get dressed nice and get our supplies together for the next party at Heath’s uncles house.
I watched the chiefs game for a while and then we ate lunch.
Then we all gathered together and Santa showed up.
Pumpkin was really excited.
Bean was the first name called and she had presents figured out by now so she was okay going up to get a present.
But she was not interested in sitting on Santa’s lap.
Pumpkin was next and she was all about it.
A bunch of other kids went and then Peanut.
Once all the kids had their present we took a picture. We got a few seconds in with Bean on Peanuts lap before she lost it.
We hung-out for a while longer then quickly packed up our stuff and headed home. Heath dropped us off then went to a show. We ate a light dinner and then put Bean to bed and then we headed outside.
We did a bunch of sledding and it was great. We made it all the way down the backyard with no problem and nobody crashed. Pumpkin’s cheeks got cold and we headed inside for hot chocolate. I was actually pretty hot from pulling kids up the hill on the sled so I had a cold stout instead.
We got the kids warmed up and ready for bed. I showered off and Heath came home and then we headed to bed too.
