Oh it’s just painful to see that bump on Pumpkin’s head. She initially ran into a door while playing with Ali in the hall at our house.
Heath got the big kids and I got Bean and we all rushed home to combine and then head out. We drove over to Independence and stopped at Applebees for an early dinner.
We had an old gift card and kids eat free w/ adults on Tuesday. So we had a good and cheep dinner, after drinks and everything our bill was $7.
Once everyone was stuffed we drove a few blocks over to Cool Crest. We had told the kids several times that was the plan for the night but none of us really knew what we were doing.
We had a really strangely worded groupon thing that expired in a week. We found go-carts, batting cages and minigolf closed for the winter but we could cash in our groupon for tickets that never expire and we could play on the playroom or in the arcade. We also got 50 tokens for the games. The kids immediately got into the playroom.
It was a great playroom, exciting for the big kids but Bean was able to climb into any area also. She loved the giant slide once she figured out how to get to it.
Then we started burning tokens.
It took us like 2 hours to use up all our tokens and coax the girls out of the playroom.
Once home we put Bean to bed and everyone got on pajamas and then we read the story of what a King Cake is and why people eat it on Mardi Gras. Then we cut into our cake and dished it up.
It was really tasty and we dug in. Peanut found a gold coin in his
Pumpkin found the baby in hers.
They were really excited and it was a lot of fun. Then the kids went to bed and Heath and I did some work on the computer quick before bed.
