Right after work and school we got ready for my cousin Kyle’s wedding. We sat up near the front and tried to keep the kids well behaved. Heath did a reading. It was a nice wedding. Afterwords we hung out in the lobby for a bit with family waiting to head to the reception. The kids were restless after an hour in church. As we headed out to leave Bean was throwing herself toward the floor trying to make Heath and I let go of her. She did this a few times and then did it again and it hurt her. She started fussing and tucked her little hand in. It did not take us long to figure out she was in pain and did not want to use that arm anymore. Heath and I decided to take her to urgent care. My mom took the other kids off the the reception. We gave Bean a sucker and she stopped crying but would not move her arm. We got her checked in and all the staff knew exactly what was wrong. They weighed her and brought her into the exam room. As we waited we read some books and played some games to keep her entertained. but she kept her right arm tucked in against her. The wall had some toys built into it like a steering wheel and stuff. We let her down to play with them and after a while she started using both hands. Just as the doctor was walking in to see her she started hanging from the steering wheel. The doc knew she had something called nursemaids elbow, where a bone had popped out of socket and she had probably just worked it back in. The doc moved her around some to make sure it was all the way back in. Then she went to get the paperwork going and to give Bean some time to work her arm and make sure she was better. She was totally fine all of a sudden. She reached up and down and all around with a smile on her face. We checked out and headed out. On the way to the car she tried throwing herself to the ground to get away again so she had not learned her lesson. We rushed off to the reception and got in just after dinner. Kelly had saved us 3 big plates of food. We ate and the kids ate, drank and played. Once the dance floor opened up we didn’t see much of them anymore. Everyone had a lot of fun and got nice and worn out dancing and partying. We slept in late then Heath went to work and the girls ate popcorn and did playdough while I cleaned house. Eventually I warmed up cinnamon rolls, we woke up Peanut and the kids ate. After breakfast we all put on boots and old clothes and started working on the trampoline. We took off the old torn mat and then slowly hooked on the new one. Everyone chipped in and we got it done pretty easily. Once we had it all together the kids tried it out a bunch. It was nice and tight and they had a great time. Then we made some lunch and Heath came home. We rested and I got ready for my hike. Eventually a bunch of friends came over and Heath drove 5 of us guys out to 151st street. We started hiking. and sipping on boxed wine We ate some stinging neddles for the first time and they were surprisingly good. We hiked a lot and filled up in a little cave. and hiked a log and filled up by the river. We went swimming a few times. but mostly hiked. Late in the evening we stopped and made some sandwiches and then hiked the rest of the way home. I think it was about 14 miles. The girls and kids took it easy and did cute stuff. and made a Mexican fiest. The next morning we all slept in then made a big breakfast. Somehow Heath and I got the motivation to paint. We have been needing to paint some trim for over a year I think but when we think about it, it is too cold or hot to open all the windows or we have too much going on. It was finally a good time to start. The trim around the fireplace needed to be painted white to match the rest of the trim in the house. Also we had some filled in nail holes all over the house to touch up. Heath did most of the stuff that takes some skill and I did all the nail holes. It was kind of a terrible place for kids so we make them play outside. They played in the front some and in the back some but eventually got too bored and needed something else to do. Luckily we were about done so we packed up the paint stuff and took them all to Walmart. We needed dog food and a few other things and it got us out of the house while the paint dried. We also went to Red Rack and got everyone new swimsuits and also a few pairs of shoes and stuff. Once home everyone was ready to rest so we put on a movie in Peanuts room for the big kids and laid Bean in bed. Heath and I worked a bit more then rested and the rest of the night we just relaxed.
