The day after we got back from Alaska we started celebrating Peanut’s 10th birthday. Friday night we let him have a friend spend the night and we took the boys to Cool Crest.
We started out with some mingolf.
After 18 holes we gave the kids a pile of tokens and set them loose in the arcade.
While they were playing Heath and I golfed another dozen holes in the shade.
Then we got the boys to finish off their tokens and play in the playroom a bit.
They got like 400 something tickets that they turned in for a plastic sword and blow dart gun. On the way home we got giant Sonic milk shakes. I tried Jalapeno Chocolate and loved it.
I was the only one to finish mine and the only one with a tummy ache when we got home.
We slept in late, like 11am kind of late. Right away I got giant chocolate chip pancakes cooking.
The girls got up and helped me out,
We created a pretty amazing breakfast cake.
Then we snuck into Peanuts room.
After we sang and he blew out the candles we ate breakfast on his floor.
We ate quick got dressed and rushed off to the zoo.
There was a work party for me but we were really late and missed everyone. The animals were still there though so we checked them out.
It was really hot so we tried to stay inside and took a few breaks.
Then we went home and the girls took naps, Peanut played with his friend and Heath and I cleaned house and got busy cooking a special birthday dinner.
In the evening a bunch of family came over to celebrate Peanut’s birthday. We had quite a feast.
And then more cake and ice cream and presents.
The rest of the night we just hung out and Peanut played with his toys.
