See my shoe covered up by giant butternut squash leaves. No real story here it’s just that we pulled some seeds from a squash from the grocery store and planted them in a big pile of Bermuda grass. For the longest time it seemed they were not going to make it through the grass but now they are taking over and even producing squash.
So if you read the labor day weekend post you can understand we have been worn out. Last night the big kids and I cleaned house and put away the piles of stuff from our weekend. Heath made a really good home made pizza and then restocked the fridge and shelves w/ an Aldi run w/ Bean.
The night before we were low on food and energy and went to Applebees. It’s kind of a boring place to go but kids eat free on Tuesday and everyone can find something they like. We went strait from there to the community garden.
It is also doing really good. The kids had there fill on cherry tomatoes while there and we took a load home.
We got all the weeds out and found a bunch of stuff growing well. It’s not exactly visible but we peeked at a sweet potato as big as a football.
After the garden we got cleaned up and in bed asap. Life seems back to normal.
