Friday night I had to work a little bit late and once home Heath and I quickly got dressed up, left the kids with Granny Donna and went to my cousin’s wedding. It was a full mass followed by some great food, drinks and company.
We had fun talking to some cousins and family but had to go early so Granny Donna could get home. Once home we watched the Royals game and then went to bed. Saturday morning Bean was the first one up and she and I ran to the store for pancake batter and then we got busy cooking breakfast. Heath helped us out.
I’ve been all about giant pancakes as a birthday cake lately and Pumpkin was really wanting cherries on top. So we filled the pancakes with cherry chocolate chips, layerd the pancakes with cherry yogurt…
Surrounded them with fruit and bacon, covered them w/ whip cream, sprinkles and cherries.
Then we packed up and headed into the girls room singing. Pumpkin was really excited.
We cut the “cake”and served it up.
Man that was a good breakfast.
After eating we got out a few presents.
clothes
shoes
toys
and gum
We have a no gum until your 5 rule in our house and now that she is 5 she chews at least 5 sticks a day for about 60 seconds each.
After all the birthday fun I tried to take the girls to Home Depot for the kids activity but we could not get Pumpkin interested so I stayed home with her and Heath took Bean.
She built an ambulance
and got cotton candy.
Pumpkin and I built a cabin castle.
Bean came home and helped us add the train.
Then we had lunch and the girls took naps. Heath went to work the food truck and I got a bunch of wood split and the lawn mowed.
Once the girls got up I took them to a carnival at Pumpkin’s school and met up with Olive and Briana. We played some games, rode some rides
and got faces painted.
Then we tried to get cotton candy but they had just ran out. So we decided to go to Bier Co so the kids could play and we could have a drink.
Then we all went back to our house to fry up chicken and sweet potatoes and tofu. It was a fun night.
Sunday we made home made ice cream. Then Heath and Pumpkin went to a baby shower. I split a bunch of wood while Bean napped and then we went to Briana’s birthday party.
We watched the Chiefs game and had some great food.
We watched some of the Royals game there and some at home.
