I don’t remember too much excitement from Friday. We picked up the van and all the kids after wokr then I fried up chicken, fish and french fries in the garage.
We did a little cleaning and planning and then watched the Royals game. Saturday we were busy all day making ice cream and food and getting everything ready for the party.
It was a really nice day out and we pushed everything we could outside. The most exciting part was the giant bounce house.
We also ate outside.
It started to cool off so we came inside for cake and ice cream.
Briana made this awesome 3 layer cake for Pumpkin.
We sang happy birthday
and she blew out the candles.
Then we dished up cake and the home made ice cream.
Just about all the kids went for bubblegum icecream and all the adults went for strawberry frozen yogurt. I went for both and they both turned out really good. The bubblegum was still a little too soft but after the party it thickened up nicely. Once the cake and ice cream was over
we gathered around,
and got out the presents.
She got a ton of stuff and loved it all.
Somehow after presents we were able to get all the kids in 1 pile.
Then they were back to the bounce house and we could watch some more of the Royal’s game. We partied late into the night and the Sanders stayed overnight. Once the kids were all down we had some adult bounce house fun. It is a lot of work and we understood how the kids got so tired.
In the morning we had breakfast, cleaned everything up, watched Brave, took naps and headed to the pumpkin patch.
Two of the kids were very happy.
The other kid was pretty tired and not interested in pictures.
We made the best of it.
And she started to warm up
Heath’s mom, sister in law and niece met us there.
We took a hay ride.
Then they got their pumpkins and left and we met up with Drake and his parents.
They took the hay ride back out into the patch.
I pulled Pumpkin in the cart out to meet them.
Then the hunt began.
Soon enough we had a full cart.
We we pulled it back.
I had some good helpers
The kids played in the hay and sand a while and we watched and talked.
Then we went home and got some dinner. We had gone to Waldo Pizza for lunch on Saturday and had plenty of leftovers. Once dinner was over we decided to have unlimited icecream bowls.
The strawberry was really cold and hard but they were both even better then at the party. We filled bowls after bowls of ice cream and put a pretty good dent in our supply but still have a lot left.
Everyone was pretty exhausted and got to bed early.
