Saturday morning we got up early, packed up the van quick and headed to the Ozarks. We made it all the way to the Osceola Cheese store.
We used the bathrooms, sampled a bunch of stuff and headed back to the van with a nice block of garlic cheese.
We had like 10 min more to drive and we got to the cabin. Right away Heath got us taking pictures before we got dirty. We got some good ones.
Mike and Nana-K got there shortly after us and we brought in all our stuff and a big pile of food. Then we made lunch
After lunch the kids and I went for a canoe ride.
We also did some fishing.
And went for a swim.
Can you believe it, swimming in late October?
The water was cool but not too bad. Bean jumped at least a dozen times and I stayed in to catch her. We got pretty hot fishing and could see the fish and got a few bites but never got one in.
The sun started to set so we took a few more pictures.
Shortly later our sun was gone.
We had worked up an appetite, luckily Mike had us covered.
We ate giant steaks and watched the Royals game and then went to bed.
We got up early in the morning and rushed home to Peanuts last soccer game.
He had a great game.
The girls had fun running around in the grass with the other kids.
We spent the rest of the day, unpacking, doing laundry, cleaning up the house and cutting and moving a bunch more wood from Jon and Briana’s tree. That night we had a giant pot of duck steak curry on rice with Royals blue smoothies.
