So worn out, so exciting.

Friday was a nice relaxing evening compared to the rest of the weekend. We had a big list of things to do for the block party and got busy right after work. Most of the stuff went pretty quick and got done before the Royals game but the biggest project was smoking 30 lbs of chicken, 24 hot dogs and 10 sausages.

It worked pretty good to check on the smoker between innings while watching the game.

At the end of the night we had 5 pans stuffed with meat in the fridge.

After the game we got to sleep in preparation for a big day. First thing in the morning we got busy setting up.

It was raining a bit in the morning and we set up a shelter but we never had problems with rain or wind after. We lit a fire and got out lots of chairs and games and tons of food and drinks.

Then the neighbors came over and we hung out and enjoyed the day.

We had a really fun costume parade.

Then they got into the candy

We hung out some more and played and then the party ended and the kids and adults rested. We did some clean up and prep and then got to rest for about an hour. I drank like a gallon of iced tea and then the party started back up for a Royal’s watch party.

Some neighbors came back and some other friends joined and we had a great crowd. Even slugger made it.

The kids watched movies inside when it got really late and cold.

The game was so good we decided to do it again Sunday. Heath and I stayed up late drinking with friends. In the morning the Chiefs game was on, the house was a disaster and everyone was beat so we went out for breakfast to watch the game.

Fortunately we didn’t have a lot to get ready or take down since we were keeping the party going. We cleaned up a few things and Pops and I went to get haircuts and a few things from the store and then Heath and I got to go for a trail run with Berry during nap time.

When we got home we decided to probably give him his last shower before it gets too cold out.

Then we got ready for the next party. I hooked up my electronics table with the antenna on a rake and started projecting.

We just ordered some pizzas and had a much more relaxed night.

Until the end

7 of us made it to the end and it was awesome and so much fun. We celebrated for a bit and then tossed all the stuff in the garage and got to bed way to late.
