Remember this
Let’s do it again tomorrow.
I’ve been working late and from home a lot this week so you have not missed out on much excitement. Last night I also stayed a little late then gave Stephen and baby AJ a ride home with Pumpkin and I. Once home I got busy on dinner. We have been avoiding going to get groceries and are using up what we have. Last night we tried Spaetzle.
Felicia got us this stuff from Germany but I have also seen it at Aldi. Since we don’t have many ingredients around I didn’t even bother looking up a recipe. I got the noodle things boiling and started making what I believe is called a roux or gravy. Milk, oil, flower, seasonings then peas, mushrooms, corn and shrimp. We also had some asperagus.
The speaetzle boiled forever then I mixed it in too.
Actually before I mixed it in I set some aside to cool for Pumpkin and she got started first.
All the girls were going through a big bag of Heath’s old stuff until dinner. The noodle things were kind of chewy but really good and I think it all turned out great. Pumpkin loved the speatzle and the shrimp mostly.
After dinner Pumpkin took a sink bath then we read a santa story and Thumbalina. Once she was in bed I worked a bit on the wall getting the last piece of drywall cut and mostly put up. Once I cut holes for switches and outlets I can get them connected and have control over the lights on the porch again. Then I ate some cereal and watched tv with Heath and Felicia before bed.
So tomorrow afternoon I’ll start a fire and do some cooking. I’d like to get a small crowd to come help/enjoy. Weather says sunny and high of 43F. I’m not sure about the menu yet but I want it to be pretty impressive. I’m craving a curry venison stew and maybe another whole chicken. So let me know if you can make it.
This week Heath went to a Cub meeting and I am pretty sure they learned about reading maps.
One of my late nights we got to eat out Chelly’s and another Heath cooked up spaghetti for us.
Also the baby is 27 weeks along now. Heath had a checkup and everyone is doing great. Doctors reports are good and so far very average.
