Besides a birthday party we always try to sneak in a special birthday dinner. Pumpkin chose Chuck E Cheese and she brought her friend Allie.
We picked up all the kids from school loaded them up and right went to the restaurant and started playing.
Then our pizza came so we took a break for a drink and a bite.
Izzy had trouble sitting at the table and got down for a few dance breaks. Once we got some food in the kids we played some more.
Everyone played pretty hard and needed lots of drinks and sillyness breaks.
Chuck came out for a little meet and greet.
Then back to playing until the tokens were gone and it was time to go.
We picked up some doughnut holes for Izzy to take for her friends at daycare for breakfast and we let each kid eat one full donut on the way home. We dropped off Allie and on our way home we found something going on down the street.
We decided to delay bedtime and watch our neighbors practice carnival acts. I didn’t take good in the dark pictures but we saw stilt walkers, unicycle riders, jugglers
some great music performances, the trapeze stuff?
and whatever the giant ribbons are.
The ribbons was our neighbor and it was probably the best but I missed the fire jugglers.
We could have watched all night and the kids were loving watching and playing with the neighbors but eventually we had to put them in bed. Once down Heath and Grant went back to see the fire and I got busy making apple Cinnamon cupcakes for Izzy’s preschool.
Heath came back and Grant went to bed and we wrapped some presents and got things ready for this morning.
This morning I got busy making a special breakfast in bed.
Then Heath, Peanut and I snuck everything into the girls room…
and started singing happy birthday. At first we didn’t see Pumpkin.
After 2 full rounds of the birthday song she worked her way to the table.
Then she blew out the candles and got busy.
We all did.
Once we had breakfast Izzy opened some presents.
including a new girls bike
that Pappy didn’t piece together from old boys bikes.
Then we all rushed to get ready for school and work.
