Last week we watched AJ one date night and went to a really fun park in Grandview.
It had lots of cool rope structures to climb. One was 3 stories high and had a slide down from it.
It was a little tough for Bean and AJ but they did great.
The new park did not have BBQ grills so we went to Minor park on the way home and grilled some giant pork chops.
And the kids played some more. Drake came over the next night and we went to another park and then had a sleepover party in the tent in the family room.
The kids ate lots of popcorn and watched Tinkerbell.
In the morning we ate breakfast and played in the yard.
Then we went to Home Depot and built pencil boxes.
We took naps and then met up with Olive and Briana at the zoo.
Sunday it rained so we ran errands and then played in a play place.
It was nice when we got out so we went for a bike ride.
Heath’s bike tire went flat right away so I jogged and she pulled the kids in the trailer. We got tired fast and stopped for a drink at Bier Co.
The kids took over the little store and had a blast.
I got a few drinks from them before we got back on the road.
We were beat and got cleaned up and ate a good stir fry dinner.
Monday we went backpacking by the Little Blue river.
We had heavy packs but set a good fast pace and went a long way before we stopped at a gravel bar.
We got wet and cooled off then got out our dinner.
We built little rock chairs and a table and had a great meal.
We hiked back even faster without all the food in our packs.
Last night we planted some beans, peas, and cilantro in the community garden.
and we picked a bunch of weeds plus some cumbers, peppers and tomatoes.
