Well both Peanut
and Pumpkin are back in school now.
And obviously I’m loving our 2 sunflowers.
Today was also Heath’s first day being a para teacher
They even got her name right.
We had back to school night for Pumpkin last night and this morning I made an extra special breakfast for the girls. Toaster strudel, sausage, blueberries, yogurt and pink milk.
We got in 1 night of backpacking this week that was a lot of fun though pretty brief. We had another fun night with our PAT lady at home. After that I mowed the lawn then Heath and I had a beer on the deck and edited some pictures.
But the most fun night this week was going to the Royals game on Friday.
We were mostly packed up and left as quick as we could after work. 1 of the kids was really grumpy after school but 2 minutes into the drive that took care of itself.
So we let her sleep and Heath, Bean and I set up our tailgate party.
We loaded up the grill right away.
Chicken brauts, potatoes and eggplant. While waiting we had cheetos, fruit and peanuts.
We all ate and then woke up Pumpkin after a 90 min nap. She ate quick and we headed into the stadium. We went right to the playground and kids stuff.
The kids played a bit then we went to our seats.
We got there right as the game started. Both girls were in great moods and loved cheering.
We made it until the 4th inning on just the peanuts we brought in before we all needed treats.
The girls did great and we watched until the 7th inning then headed out. We ran into my uncle Dan and cousin Sarah and ended up talking to them and watching until the end of the game. Then we rushed home and into bed.
In other news we have been watching “The Killing” on Netflix and just finished off the 2nd season. It is pretty good. Also yesterday I got to setup and help with a show about dueling pianos that was pretty fun.
And we finished the major project that was taking up tons of my time at work.
