Friday we didn’t have to rush too much I got some groceries and then picked up the girls and headed home and cooked some dinner. Heath came home and her mom came over and we got dressed up nice, ate dinner and headed to our friends Shaun and Becki’s wedding.

They got married in an old theater in mission that was pretty cool. A judge did the very official ceremony up on the stage and then we partied and ate theater type foods and had some drinks. Heath’s mom didn’t want to be out too late so we headed out kinda early and went home.
Saturday Heath headed to the food truck and the girls and I got dressed and had breakfast and then they played in the sand box while I mowed our front yard and the front yard across the street. We were all hot and sweaty so I packed up a picnic real quick and we headed over to the park. It was deserted. We took over the whole shelter for lunch.
Climbed around on the playground.
And finally got to cool off.
We felt much better once we were all wet.
We had been talking with some friends of doing a potluck picnic Sunday and our afternoon went so well I decided to have it there. I took the girls home and got them in bed. Then I did some more yard work, cooking and packing.
Heath left the food truck and went to Peanuts soccer game.
Stephen came over and we started loading up the car.
The kids got up and we tossed them in and when Heath got back we left for the game. We got there early and got a great spot in the grass. With the canopy and the breeze it was not bad at all.
We grilled
ate
and played.
Then we headed into the stadium.
and found our seats.
We were just in time to see some crazy fireballs.
It was pretty hot but we tried to stay cool.
Once the sun got behind the stadium it was nice.
The kids did great but by the end of the 3rd quarter we were all ready to go.
Everyone went to bed as quick as we could.
I got up early Sunday and made a big pan of enchiladas.
(knives hold down the shells and I added sauce and cheese)
I also cooked and packed up a breakfast picnic and once everyone else got up we headed to the woods.
We went to some trials on the east side of swope park that I’ve never been to before. They were primarily for mountain biking and there were a lot of bikers out there but they were a great hike. Lots of big rocksĀ and stuff. We had a real nice picnic.
And a really fun long hike
though it was hot and we were all sweaty at the end.
After the park we went to Costco for lunch and a few things and then Heath dropped Bean and I at home. She took a nap and I packed and prepped. Heath and Pumpkin went to a tea party and then we all met up back at the park.
This time the place was packed. Nearly all parking spots were taken, the shelter was overflowing with people, the playground was full, the spray park was loaded with kids and they other ground even had a bounce house and 3 ponies. We made the best of it and set up our own little shady spot in the grass.
It was great we had good friends, good weather and a table full of stuff to eat.
We got wet, we climbed, we ate and drank and it was so fun we hope to do it again soon.
At 7 the sprinklers turn off and we packed up and headed home. It was a full weekend and we got the girls right to bed. Heath and I did some packing and prepping, then she cut my hair and I trimmed my beard and we headed off to bed.
