Yesterday morning I thawed, diced and browned some more duck meat and then turned it into a chili and left it in the crock pot. Heath warmed up some sweet potatoes and I warmed up some broccoli and dinner was ready early.
It was all very good. After dinner we got the girls dressed, Heath did their hair and I packed our gear and we went to soccer early to make up for missed pictures last week.
I took some more pictures.
It took the photographers forever to get going even though most people were there early. The kids screwed around for like half an hour before getting their team picture.
After the picture the kids practiced some but our coach was still gone and nothing worked very well. Everyone was doing their own thing.
With about 20 minutes of time left on our first game the kids actually took the field and started the game.
Pumpkin was done being excited and ready to go home. She refused to play and just grumped around the field for a bit.
She wanted to go home and we could not get her to play so we went home and got the girls ready for bed.
She has 2 more games and we hope they go better.
Once the kids were down I made a batch of enchiladas for tonight’s dinner and a batch of humus to snack on. This was our first humus in the new blender. I made the cheater one from this list and it was really good. Really really good I could not stop eating it last night and then smothered some toast with it this morning.
Then Heath and I cleaned up the kitchen and worked on the computer a bit before bed. We did a little planning for a trip in January to watch my nun sister’s Solemn Profession.
