Bryce Canyon National Park is mostly built along one long road that goes along the canyon into the park. As morning approached I drove into the park and all the way to the end of the road and parked. The Rainbow point look out spot was right there. I grabbed the camera and checked things out.
I was really unsure how long everyone would sleep so as the sun rose I ran around the canyon checking out different spots as I got more and more sun. It was really pretty.
I was afraid to get too far from the van in case Bean woke up and everyone else wanted to keep sleeping so I hiked/jogged down the trail several times but came back every 10 minutes to check on the van of sleepers. We were parked next to a really interesting old van with all sorts of supplies stuck to it and I noticed a url on it so looked it up.

I had plenty of time to read though a young couples adventures making a camper van and then exploring the country. At the time they had a similar route to us but not our blistering pace.
They actually got up and went hiking and stuff before my family did. But eventually everyone got up and we got to start exploring together.
I showed them the point and then we moved off to the side for the picnic tables so we could make breakfast.
We had a little fruit left but we had mostly moved on to dry packets of stuff like oatmeal. After a good hearty breakfast we got busy hiking.
There was a nice little trail that took us on a short loop.
Besides great views of the canyon we saw lots of chipmunks and bees.
After the hike we slowly drove our way out of the park. We made sure to stop at a lot of points to see things.
On our way out we stopped at a picnic spot and cooked up some lunch.
We had been on the move pretty quick the first few days/nights and were ready to find our cabin and home for the next 2 nights/3 days. It was about an hour drive from the park.
It looked small but it had room for 3 bunk beds and a kitchen table.
It was in a nice little valley.
The cabin was small but a good fit for sleeping. When not sleeping or in the park we had access to firewood, laundry, a full kitchen, bathrooms with showers a playground and a game room.
Heath had work work to do so drove into the closest town to use the internet in a coffee shop while the kids and I played a bunch at the park and game room. When Heath came back we cooked up our lunch in the kitchen and then we all got showers. We had an early morning so packed up our stuff for the next day and got to bed early.
