“The System has halted
Hardware Malfunction”

I’m guessing there is some bad RAM in one of our servers so I came in early to try to get it running before the staff wants to use it. I think it is going to be a coffee day. Last night started off with dinner preparations. Heath and Peanut beat me home and started on the chicken pot pie. We quickly fried up 2 chicken breasts on one pan and heated some cream of chicken soup and a bunch of vegetables in another pan. Heath put the pie crust in a pan then we dumped all the innards in and sealed it up.

We stuck it in the toaster oven on low heat for an hour and rushed out the door. We went back to the library to get some different books and return some stuff we had forgotten on our first trip to the library this week. Peanut heads to his dad’s house tonight so does not really need more books but he really liked this dragon book so he checked it out.

The next stop was Aldi. We were out of lots of stuff and had basically tossed most of what we had left into the pot pie so it was time to reload. We filled the cart and had 2 giant boxes on top of it. It was the most we had ever spent at Aldi but we had never replaced our kitchen table there before.

This picture may need a bit of explaining. Aldi does not bag your groceries, we take canvas sacks and bag them after paying usually but this time we had 2 giant table boxes on top of our cart and did not mess with them. Sometimes we bag as we load the car but there was a crazy strong wind trying to blow the cart away so we just tossed everything in the car real quick and left.

Once home we unloaded the car and could smell a delicious dinner that was about ready. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
We set the table and Peanut attempted some sort of crazy acrobatic move to get into his chair and didn’t make it. So he basically fell sideways from one chair and hit the back of his head on another chair on his way to the ground. It looked pretty rough and he cried a while and we let him rest on the couch with his stuffed animals a few minutes before he was ready to eat. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Heath put together a head bandage/ice pack thing to help the swelling and as soon as he found the mutant strawberries from the store he was good as newOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Several of these berries were like apples.

We all ate good dinners then Peanut and Heath quickly got ready and headed to the gym to workout/play. I headed downstairs to do the last of the sanding for a while at least. I got the beam all sanded and then wiped down in and the ceiling around it with a wet sponge. I didn’t find any spots that needed more mud so cleaned up the dust by sweeping, wiping and eventually vacuuming.

Then I started to prep the room for paint. I took off all the outlet and light switch covers and took down the fancy light cover things and would have taped off the trim but we were out of masking tape. The room still had a lot of dust in the air so I may need to do some more dust removal but otherwise I am about to start priming.

I needed the dust to settle and was missing tape so I headed upstairs to work on the breakfast nook. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I happened to start on the box with the benches. It was one of those deals where there is a box of boards all cut to the right size and with holes where the screws and dowels go and you have to figure out how they all fit together. Heath and Peanut got home as I was working on this and Peanut quickly got ready for bed and Heath read him a story then joined in the nook creation.

This thing came together pretty quick and we are really pleased with how it looks and how well it will fit in the kitchen. We didn’t get started on the table box and saved it for tonight. It was about 10 when we were done so I showered off the drywall dust and sweat and got to bed.
