Peanut loved having all the balloons around the house
but he loved popping them all even more
So last weekend we spent an hour or so filling the house with balloons and streamers.
and then Peanut opened a bunch of presents and our house was full of people. So things were kind of a mess. After work I got busy cooking dinner and doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Heath started putting away party supplies and Peanut armed with a turkey injecting needle found all the balloons and popped them.
Then his job was to find all the trash balloon or otherwise and get it thrown away and then he had to put all his new toys where they belong. He ended up with several in a pile on the floor of his room but most are put away.
We got a bunch of loads of laundry washed and the family room kitchen and dinning room all cleaned up. Then we had dinner.
Shepard’s Pie, Hamburger casserole or our new name for it potato hamburger pizza. We decided to call it potato hamburger pizza to keep Peanuts streak of pizza eating going. As you can see we ate a bunch of it before clearing the table and cleaning everything up.
Peanut was still in helpful mode and did some of the dishes.
I had already loaded the dishwasher but he got the soapy sponge and soaped up anything not dishwasher safe and then rinsed them off.
Peanuts been really good this week and we keep promising him stars but forget to mark them down. We talked last night that he was probably at 2 or maybe even 3 stars that we need to mark on his board.
Since the house was looking so good we headed outside for some trampoline time. Peanut was mostly interested in light saber fights.
We fought for quite a while loosing a lot of limbs and exploding into lego blocks several times. Eventually I got him to do some real jumping. We did some obstacle course stuff where he would have to duck over noodles or jump real high over them. Also we played popcorn but our difference in size made it a little tough.
After trampoline time we headed inside and Peanut laid on our bed while I folded laundry and Heath mopped the kitchen floor. Peanut watched an episode of Star Wars the Clone wars on Cartoon Network.
After the show he hopped in the shower and I kept folding. Heath joined me and we about got it done by the time he showered and got on his pajamas. We laid down on the bed once all the laundry was put away and watched a bit of King of the Hill. I ran next door and helped Stephen out with his fish tank real quick then came back to get Peanut in bed. Then I headed back over to have a beer and help him get some stuff connected on a big tank he is getting operational. We got stuck for the night and I headed home.
So when we moved into our house I organized my shop and had it looking like this

Ever since getting it all clean and organized I have not really done much clean up or putting things away. The shop is big and I had general areas for certain tools. Most of my projects have involved taking tools out of the shop and using them in other areas for a few weeks then lugging piles off tools back to the shop. So before beginning anymore projects I want to get some stuff sorted out. Look at this mess that my shop has become.

Actually it was a little worse but I decided to take a few pictures after I moved a big desk from the door of the shop to the back corner and had cleaned up a path for it first.
I worked on it for a little more then an hour last night and seemed to make a lot of progress. There are probably several more hours of work though to get it not so embarrassing looking. I didn’t take anymore pictures after I finished but plan to get more done over the next few days and then show it off. Heath and I also need to go through the storage shelves in the basement and clean them up and make room and sort things out a little better.
A little after bedtime I headed upstairs to wash the sweat and spiderwebs off me and go to bed.
