That's right our camera is shot again

We think it is still under warranty and can be repaired ... again

My story starts at lunch yesterday. I took it early and headed to the doctor with Heath. We had a double apointment and met with the sonogram lady first then the doctor. The sonogram gave us this picture of the babies face. In case you don't see it right away I used paint to help you.

It was way cool on the video to see the baby moving around. It's big enough now that we could see the mouth opening and closing and stuff. Plus of course the hands and feet. The lady could feel it kicking against the sonogram thing in her hand too. She avoided the area so still no sex was discovered.

Then we met with the doctor and talked about the baby and set our due date for September 27th again. I headed back to work after this and quickly ate lunch and got busy.

Shortly later a coworker asked me to go to a set up a remote broadcast with him. The broadcast is a while away but they are testing some stuff. I had some stuff to do and asked if he wanted me to go for some computer assistance or just to have me around. He thought a while then said he really needed me there.

I spent the next 4ish hours standing or sitting around waiting for ATT to call or watching him talk on the phone with ATT. So it was a total waste of time and there was nothing there that I could do. So I got out of work way late.

Once home Heath got dinner going and I rushed to get dressed and a few things set up. Stephen and Mike came over and we got started on the nursery trim.

We broke out my new saw and did some measuring and cutting of the thin brown strips.

We cut the trim then spread glue along the back side then eased them into place.

We had a tiny line left over from the original chalk so it was fairly easy to get it into place. The trim was kind of wavy and we started using paint tape to hold the ends and stuff down against the wall.

After 1 wall was done Heath called us and she Grant and Becky had dinner ready. We sat down to a feast of spaghetti, meat balls, corn on the cob and garlic bread. Everything was really tasty and it was pretty late for me so I shoveled it quick.

Then we got right back to work. Shortly after getting back into it we decided we would need to hold down the glue areas longer, cover them with tape or start shooting nails into them.

This trim is really thin and narrow so I had avoided nails because I was sure they would split the trim. It was starting to look like we would have plenty of trim so we gave it a shot.
We used the lowest pressure and the smallest nails we could and it worked fine. Once we decided to use the nail gun the trim just flew up. We got the hang of measuring and figuring angles and blasted our way around the room.

In no time the vision of the room Heath and I had in our heads was looking pretty close. We got all the trim up and from a distance it looks great. Up close there are some nail holes to fill in and some nails to tap in a little further and a few ends that could use some touch up paint. I should be able to put in the final touches in less then an hour and have it looking perfect.

During the job we rewarded our progress with some fancy pants beer in bottles but by the end all the bottle beer was gone so we rewarded ourselves with canned beer on the deck. It was a great night out and we could have easily lost track of time and talked on the deck all night. After 2 beers and passing my bed time by almost an hour we decided to call it a night and head in. The guys left and Heath and I took one last look at the nursery before heading to bed.
