I'll get right to the sad news. It's been a hard time lately with all the celebrities that have died but this last one was closer to home, so close it was in our basement. Last night we came downstairs to find the fish tank looking like this.
Yes, that orange blur at the bottom is jumpy. Something went wrong with the heater and it must have run full blast for a while. 
We were down there Monday night and everyone was fine and I'm not sure about Tuesday night but last night the tank was a mess and the water was real hot.
We pulled out the heater and tossed in some ice but this morning he was floating and white. The other 3 fish are still alive but I'm not sure if they will make it or not. The filters have not gotten the water clear yet but it is coming down in temperature.
Fingers crossed everyone else makes it, then we can clean the tank and replace our alpha fish with some more fun ones.

Grant had an early T-Ball game against the yellow team last night so when I got home I got busy making a pre-game snack. I got some tortillas and sprayed them with pam then sprinkled on sugar and cinnamon then toasted them and cut into 4 wedges. 
Then I spread a layer of yogurt on each slice and stuck bits of cantaloupe, watermelon, banana and pears into the yogurt and chilled them till Grant got home.
They were pretty good but I used plain yogurt and any other flavor would have been better. We did not have time to eat them all before we had to get ready and go to the game.
The weather was awesome and Heath was feeling feisty so she headed onto the field to coach Grant during the game.
The first inning went pretty good. Our team had 8 boys show up and somehow the other team had 14 kids. So when it was our turn to bat we got to go through the lineup twice durring the first inning.
They typically only play 2 innings before the hour is up and this week the first inning was long so they kind of rushed the second inning. This was ok because our team was kind of falling apart. Sometimes the fielders would do pretty good but there was a crowd by the pitchers mound that was causing some trouble.
Anytime a ball was hit the group would push and wrestle to get the ball. It was more of a competition with their own team then the other guys. The coach tried to talk them out of this but they were persistent and of course Grant was right in the middle of it.
After the game Grant got a Popsicle, some Oreos and gave Heath a high five for helping him out.
After the game we headed to our house and met up with Heath's mom, 2 brothers, sister and sister's boy friend.
They had all come to the game and once home we made a dinner plan, checked on the nursery
project, discovered the fish tank and then headed to Chelly's for a Mexican dinner.
We were a group of 8 and the place was packed but we lucked out and a table became available right after we got there. We immediately tore through 3 bowls of chips and salsa then got our orders in and talked till the food arrived.
I got a fajita burrito and it was pretty good and huge. I usually get the TexMex Burrito and I think it is better. Grant just shared with everyone and I think he really liked doing it this way. Heath's mom was excited to get to eat dinner with almost all her kids.
I ate my whole huge burrito and some of Heaths and then decided that was too much. I could feel a food coma coming on.
We headed home after dinner and Heath's family headed back to Paola. We got Grant in pajamas and teeth brushed and read a book. He did not put up much of a struggle about going to bed. It was not even 9 yet but all the digestion work had me worn out. So I got ready to lay down in bed. Heath must have been jealous of the picture of my stomach so wanted to show me up and broke out her 27 week preg tummy.

So we laid down and tried to watch TV and digest but instead we fell right asleep and just had an early night. That was fine since both our jobs are closed tomorrow and a 3 day holiday weekend begins tonight. If you are looking for something to do let me know. I think we are going to head on a camping/hotel staying adventure somewhere south east of here.
