I usually try to get everything done and get home asap on Friday afternoons but this week I was busy all afternoon running back and forth from the radio station to downtown trying to get our connection for our weekly jazz show the 12th street Jump working. We never got it working but we made a plan to borrow some equipment from another station and had to stop trying because someone else needed the location.
I got out of work late but called Heath and met up with her Izzy and a bunch of coworkers at Mikes Tavern. Everyone had some pretty crazy weeks and was ready for a drink. We had a few then Heath and I headed home and made some thick chicken bacon sandwiches. Amanda and Alley came over and Izzy went to bed. We ate dinner, changed and got supplies ready for date night.
Heath had planned a night of tennis jogging and relaxing. First we headed to sunny side park and got a court. We were the only ones playing tennis and that was probably good because we sucked and hit the balls all over the place.
It was getting dark quick so we played as much as we could with out really any breaks. We split a beer durring the games and then finished it after it was too dark to play. Then we took the truck most of the way home and jogged back down to Swagger. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks and talked about our road trip and all sorts of things. Then we went to Corner Cocktail and then home. Amanda was ready for bed and headed out. Heath and I played on the computer some and messed around in the basement then went to bed.
In the morning I got up drank some water then mowed the front yard. it was early but already hot. I got all the front yard mowed and weed whacked then changed and went to Grant's last T-Ball game of the season.

He had a good game and we had fun watching him even though we were sweating our butts off.

After the game we stopped by Best Buy to look at cameras then headed home. Once home I changed and got some supplies then went a few blocks up the street to a craigslist add for wood.
I parked at the street and took several wheelbarrow loads of wood from the pile to the truck. I got drenched with sweat and a full load.
I drank some water then headed back outside. A mouse had gotten into our shed and was tearing up my bag of grass seed. I cleaned up all the seeds and put them where he could not get to them then set 4 traps. Then I mowed 1/2 the backyard. I came inside and Heath had been working on her curtains for Izzy's room. Izzy was awake and Heath needed to do work work so I fed Izzy and then we went to visit Jon. He was putting up the mirror in the bathroom of the new house. After our visit I set up Izzy in the kitchen and cooked and cleaned and gave her snacks. I made a pasta salad with a ton of different vegetables in it plus black beans, bacon, Parmesan Italian dressing and noodles. Heath finished work and we set up a little hair trimming station in the basement and then she gave me a haircut while Izzy jumped around in the jumper.
Once my hair was good I decided to finish mowing the back yard. Once it was done I got all cleaned up then started working on potatoes and stuff for dinner. Amanda, Alley and Jon came over and we loaded up the grill.

Once the corn and organic pig, honey garlic marinated, pork chops were done we sat down to dinner and broke out the pasta salad and potatoes.

It was a great dinner and we ate a ton. Immediately after we broke out some ice cream cake and then we were really stuffed. We hung out at the table talking for a while and then I got a phone call. The equipment we could not fix on Friday was still not fixed and the borrowed stuff did not help so we had a show going on the air in an hour and no way to get it to the station. I had to rush down to the station and try to help. We eventually came up with a new plan and I went home.
Everyone was playing scatagorys and I joined in. We played till bedtime then slept in the next morning. I got up first and water plants and worked on the tomatoes a bit then checked my traps and found a mouse. Then I fried up some pancakes and sausage. After eating Jon and I went back to the tree and got more wood. With Jon there to help I could get a lot bigger logs and we loaded up the truck really good. Then we unloaded and went back for a second load. On the second trip we decided it would be ok to drive in the yard and pulled right up to the tree and really got some good ones.We tossed all it in the pile and now I really have a lot to get working on.

It was early in the morning but I was covered in sweat. Jon, Amanda and Alley all headed home and I tried to think of indoor jobs. Heath and I decided we liked the furniture move and we would go ahead and set up the stereo system and all the surround sound speakers. We got everything set up and our wires hidden then sat down to test it out with some home improvement shows. It sounded good. We messed around the house a while then ran a bunch of errands then went to my grandmas house for dinner. She had Oklahoma Joes BBQ and a bunch of stuff. It was a great meal and we got really stuffed again. A bunch of the family was there and we all talked about our summers and stuff. Of course Izzy was the star.

We decided to give her some of the baked beans and she was crazy about them. She shoveled them into her mouth faster then we could put them on her tray. All weekend she was getting more adventurous with trying to walk and goes really fast when holding onto something. She will take about 3 steps now with nothing to hold onto before crashing or getting to her destination. I've also seen her take a few steps then stop and just stand there not holding anything. I've tried to get video but whenever the camera is out she crashes or gets down to crawl so she can go faster.
After we were uncomfortably stuffed a key lime pie, cake and brownies were brought out and we got even more comfortable. Then we headed out and went to Walmart and tried to look at a thermoelectric cooler from craigslist. Then we headed home and relaxed and watched Crank 2 and really tested out the surround sound.

After the movie we got ready for bed.
