Â

After the sun is down and the cake and ice cream are gone and some little kids have gone home I expect the older kids will take over. I may have a fire pit ready to go and for sure we will have the pool table, foosball table, and deck ready for some breaking in. So come over and have a drink.

Come On and type fast

I’m feeling kind of rushed this morning and I can’t wind down like I would like to. I found out the old tennents in my new house are haveing a garage sale for all there old stuff today. I thought the sale was not untill tomorow. So I really want to get some work stuff done and then make a run up there to check out the sale and see if there is anything we want before the good stuff is sold. I think the bar stools would be a good start and they are going to try to sell the fish tank we wanted for $1000. I may make them a low low offer on it if no one takes them up on the grand.

Deja vu post from yesterday?

Well this weekend KCUR is hosting the popular NPR show "A Prairie Home Companion". Many of the NPR folks are heading into town today for tomorrow nights show. This afternoon I will become an official KCUR chauffeur (Yes, I had to look up how to spell that).

But before I go I need to tell you about my dinner and what Grandma and I got ourselves into last night.

Boating is my antidrug

Well It is going to be really nice out tonight so at lunch today I need to go shopping and get some important things for this evening. I need to get:

Propane for the Grill

Marine Oil for the boat gas

Something to Eat

Something to Drink

I’d also like to get some new boxer briefs but they are not a necessity

Where can I go over my lunch break and get all this done at once?

Well as you know I took off on Friday and went to Chicago to help out Heath with a Chris Cakes event.

We were supposed to drive up all day Friday, work early Saturday morning then drive back getting home early Saturday night. Well some car and beer trouble kept us in IL longer then expected and we did not get home until yesterday afternoon.

Sad News for Aquinas Alum….

I was watching NBC Action News at 10:00 tonight and they had a story on Spc. Dustin Briskey being killed in Iraq recently.  Just thought some of you would like to know.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought he was also a POP alum too??

I didn’t have anything exciting for dinner last night nor am I working on a neat project . . .

Here at work today, two people have solicited high-fives from a guy that put an offer on a house.  Ridiculous.  It’s bad enough just to high-five someone, but I’d say it’s at least 10-15 times worse when you announce "High-five!" in order to get the other person to slap your hand.

I did, however, have a delicious strawberry donut for breakfast.  They were in the breakroom and I might go back for another before they’re gone.

this picture popped up when I typed Mike Haake into google images.
